In 2019 I started the Orlando Psychedelic Society—Orlando’s first psychedelic social network. Orlando Psychedelic Society is a community of people interested in the exploration of sacred plant medicines for psychological healing, spiritual growth, and/or the expansion of consciousness. Orlando Psychedelic Society gives members a safe space to meet and talk about their experiences with non-ordinary states of consciousness and offers emotional support and education regarding harm reduction and current research in the field of psychedelic-assisted therapies. We also host an Integration Circle each month for members to share their collective wisdom and integrate insights received from journeys with psychoactive plants and medicines.
Our meetings are a time to get together and share information and insights about altered states of consciousness and how sacred plant medicine and psychedelic-assisted therapy are rapidly replacing psychotropic medications in the US. We also read current research articles about psychedelic-assisted therapy including ayahuasca and psilocybin and their effective use in the treatment of PTSD and depression.
